Steven Adams

Steven Adams, President of Alta Entertainment, represents actors and post production companies including Lance Reddick, James Dumont, Tony nominee Kimberly Scott, Obie winner Roger Guenveur Smith, Tamara Tunie, Telemundo star Rafael Amaya and reality star Tom Stroup. Steven Adams served as VFX Executive for four years (2008-2012) with world renowned French based visual effects house BUF where he developed new business for the company that included Thor for Marvel Studios, James Cameron’s Avatar, Green Lantern, Green Hornet, Stephen Somers’ Odd Thomas, Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows, and Ang Lee’s Life of Pi. Before that, Adams served as President of FilmPro Finance Events and Conferences working with film finance based clients including Bloomberg/Cite’s predecessor on the International Film & TV Finance Summit, as well as Film Production Capital and various film commissions and festivals around the world, to produce entertainment media finance events. Adams began his career in entertainment at The Paradigm Talent and Literary Agency which represents the careers of an elite roster of actors, musical artists, directors, writers and producers. He then joined Landmark Artists Management where he worked with such artists as Laurence Fishburne, Eric Stoltz, David Caruso and Blair Underwood. As President of Luna Ray Films Steven Adams produced in association with Starz/Encore A Huey P. Newton Story directed by Academy Award nominee Spike Lee. Huey was adapted from client Roger Guenveur Smith’s Obie Award Winning solo performance and won the Peabody Award. Other Luna Ray Films credits include God’s Waiting List and Justice. Television credits include The Culture Clash Show and Dead Souls distributed by Universal with a later broadcast on NBC/Universal’s Chiller Network, now in 40 million US homes. Adams served as co-producer with Executive Producer Justin Lin (“Fast and Furious”) on the web series Drone starring client Lance Reddick. He is currently producing a TV series with FilmPro Finance based on the upcoming non-fiction book: Show Me The F$#!king Money: How to Invest, Raise Finance and Recoup Money in the Film Business, which will launch at Cannes 2013. Adams is a member of the Producers Guild of America.
