Daniel Baur founded K5 MEDIA GROUP together with his partner Oliver Simon in 2007. In collaboration with their partners Sascha Prestel and Carl Clifton they transformed the enterprise into a world-wide operating entity with offices in Munich, London and Los Angeles that covers all elements from sales (K5 International), to financing (K5 Media Capital) and production (K5 Film). As of January 2014 Daniel Baur located to Los Angeles and becoming the CEO of K5 INTERNATIONAL, LLC the newly formed LA based sales arm of K5 MEDIA GROUP. At K5 INTERNATIONAL Daniel Baur oversees the acquisition, sales,
financing and production of feature films like: VICE starring Bruce Willis, THE DIARY OF A TEENAGE GIRL starring Kristin Wiig and Alexander Skardsgard, VEHICLE 19 starring Paul Walker, THE VISITOR starring Richard Jenkins, GET LOW starring Robert Duvall and BILL MURRAY, THE RELUCTANT FUNDAMENTALIST directed by Mira Nair, THE NIGHT TRAIN TO LISBON directed by Bille August starring Jeremy Irons and Mélanie Lauren and CUTIE AND THE BOXER directed by Zachary Heinzerling.

Daniel-Baur-&-VincaBefore joining K5 MEDIA GROUP Daniel Baur produced, financed and/or packaged numerous international feature films at company S.R.O. such as Robert Altman’s THE COMPANY produced by Killer Films, Robert Towne’s ASK THE DUST produced by Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner and EULOGY starring Debra Winger and Famke Janssen produced by Steven Haft.

Daniel Baur is a graduate of the highly respected MEGA program of the Media Business School in Spain where he studied management of media companies and received the Master in Audiovisual Management (Honors) in 2001. During MEGA Daniel Baur interned at Deutsche Bank in the entertainment division. Before that Daniel Baur started his university career by studying entertainment law at the university of Freiburg im Breisgau where he later also did a PhD with a thesis about film licence agreements.
