Since 2005, Franck Priot has been Chief Operating Officer of Film France, the French Film Commission. His areas of responsibility include relationships with foreign producers, and especially overseeing the Tax Rebate for International Productions, which has been implemented by the French State in 2009. He is currently the key person spearheading Film France’s efforts to increase relationships with China, and has already worked with a lot of Chinese films and TV series. On the western front, he has overseen Film France efforts to support visiting productions such as INCEPTION, MIDNIGHT IN PARIS, MARIE ANTOINETTE, SMURFS 2, MR BEAN HOLYDAYS, HEREAFTER, DESPICABLE ME, and DR SEUSS THE LORAX.

FranckPriotgroupshotPrior to this experience he worked five years for the French weekly trade paper Ecran Total, covering French movie production and the international markets. After several years as a film critic, he produced and hosted a weekly TV show about movies.

In 2005, Mr Priot published a book on case studies on financing of French productions, and co-productions. He also published another book about synergies between the film and tourism sectors. For Film France, he is the key writer of the yearly guide, France: The Incentives Guide, and is considered as an expert about the movie financing landscape, frequently quoted in French medias.
