Following 30 + years of banking experience, Melanie Krinsky is well regarded in the banking community and is recognized throughout the U.S. and abroad as an Entertainment-Lending expert.  During the course of Ms. Krinsky’s career, she has used her entrepreneurial and leadership skills to create highly profitable Entertainment Divisions at Bank Hapoalim, Bank Leumi USA, Mercantile National Bank, and California United Bank.  Utilizing these skills, she has handled many complex secured, high yielding loans totaling over $2 billion with zero bad debts.  Ms. Krinsky regularly works with producers in strategizing production deals to maximize value on the screen.  Additionally, Ms. Krinsky remains an expert in compliance, copyright documentation, negotiations, U.S. and Canadian tax incentives.

Vinca & MelanieIn 2013, Ms. Krinsky was recruited by the largest Bank in Israel, Bank Hapoalim, (“BHI”) with over $100 billion in assets to create an entertainment-financing group.  Under Ms. Krinsky’s leadership the team is specializing in financing all aspects of the television and movie industry for production and distribution companies.  Lending activities consist of direct relationships with companies, financing single transactions to participating in large multi-million dollar syndicated facilities.  Ms. Krinsky’s close relationships with mezzanine lenders also allow deals to close where a portion of the loan exceeds BHI’s risk profile.  BHI is the largest Bank in Israel with offices worldwide.

Prior to BHI, Melanie Krinsky managed the Entertainment Division at Bank Leumi USA, the domestic subsidiary of Bank Leumi, the second largest bank in Israel.  Under her leadership, the team gained worldwide attention specializing in lending to production and distribution companies.  Additionally, the department provided commercial lines of credit and term loan facilities to middle market companies directly and indirectly related to the entertainment industry.  During her tenure, Leumi Entertainment returned the highest ROA and ROE at the Bank, even during tough economic times, with zero loan losses.

At Mercantile National Bank (1997–2003), Ms. Krinsky was the Executive Vice President responsible for commercial and entertainment lending.  Ms. Krinsky arrived at the Bank after it was recapitalized in 1997 and facilitated the regulatory rating to a “Well Capitalized Bank”.  Ms. Krinsky was an integral part of the executive management team, proving influential in directing the overall activities of the Bank.  This involved presiding on various committees such as Executive Management and Credit Committee.

As Senior Vice President and Manager of California United Bank’s Entertainment Division (1989-1997), Ms. Krinsky created a successful department producing profits for eight consecutive years.

Melanie Krinsky began her lending career at City National Bank (CNB) in Beverly Hills, as a commercial lending officer financing manufacturers, wholesalers, professional firms, and real estate developers/investors.  She was soon promoted and was given the opportunity to transfer into CNB’s prestigious Entertainment Division.  After eight years in CNB’s Entertainment Division, Ms. Krinsky moved on to establish and lead Entertainment Divisions at the banks previously mentioned.

Ms. Krinsky has been a featured speaker on numerous financial panels and at film festivals, domestically and internationally.  She actively promotes and speaks about raising funds and develops financing plans for producers and production companies.

On the personal side, Melanie has two grown daughters, enjoys traveling, golf, tennis, bridge, and is a supporter of the Tuberous Sclerosis Foundation.
